There
are certainly many photographers in the Chicago Wedding, Portrait and Sports
Photography business. However, only three percent of those who call themselves
professionals have successfully completed the certification
requirements for the Professional
Photographers of America (PPA), which are considerable.
The FOTOGRAHAM philosophy is simple: your
event is about your event and not your photographer. I flow with the momentum of the
event and capture the energy of the celebration rather than focusing
our attention on only posed photos. Having covered NCAA
football and basketball for 11 years as a photo-journalist, I have
certainly become quite adept at moving fast, making quick
decisions and getting the best shots. Some traditional
posed shots are okay, but an album of 100% "wedding cheese" is
really not an interesting album. There are no rules, so why do
what every other photographer would do? A combined style
of photojournalistic and fine-art techniques truly renders the most
interesting images. Great photography is not a
commodity. So if you are looking for a semi-professional who
knows something about cameras, the guys in the camera department at
Best Buy might be considered. In contrast, the quality and
spontaneity of my work is reflected in the galleries on this site,
capturing a variety of subjects in just as many lighting conditions.
Different than most large studios, you will know which photographer
you are going to get for your event. I guaratee that I will be
the one to shoot the event because I do not sub-contract with other
photographers. Moreover, I
have all the best equipment and the most creative and competent
assistants. Please feel free email me at:

I would be happy to
meet with you and answer any questions you might have about your
wedding, event or portrait. I serve the Chicago area including
Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, Oswego, DeKalb, and many other
locations if given enough time.
My 2008 calendar is
starting to fill up, but I still have a few popular dates
available. I've certainly had a lot of fun doing
wedding photography in Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, Chicago suburbs
and downstate Illinois area. I certainly hope
to hear from you soon!
